First amongst many...is a phrase that can be used to describe several scenarios in life. It could be used to rank a group of things, people or places as the case may be. In this sense however, I have chosen First amongst many to describe my toddler steps into the sojourn of the blogosphere. In English this is my first blog (a test of sorts) and my first post. So for those of you looking for something intelligent and well structured to come out of this topic am sorry to disappoint you. (smiley face) This is just me testing how the back end of a blog works for the first time and realising ...oh what a wonderful world... in the voice of that tv advert we all watched as kids...what's the name again? Somebody help me out here. On a slightly serious note though, First amongst many...is a phrase I have used as a motivating key at various stages of my life, as I strive to achieve greatness and climb the "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs".
Like when I had my first major opportunity to organise an event in 2013 for top dignitaries in the Judicial circles of Nigeria as depicted in the image above. Justice Tokunbo is the First female Supreme Court Judge in Nigeria and I was honoured to be the event organiser for an honouring night held at the Wheatbaker Hotel Ikoyi Lagos.
So though this is my first post and was supposed to be made up of unintelligent musings or ramblings or the usual asdf ;lkj repetitions that normally fills these pages, I have somehow tried to keep your attention till this point if you are still reading. (smiley). Which means you should expect to be fed with more great writings to come...This was me...unedited...straight from my gut.
Let's play a game. I want someone to suggest the next topic for the "Musings of Luch". Welcome to my world.
I am so honoured to be the first female to comment on these edifice of words. This is the Best I have seen so far when it comes to reading blogs. Our new Nigeria (ironically) has lost morals in reading. This is an encouragement to All especially me. God is strength my dear friend. Sail Higher. Thank you for this great.... I'm speechless. Bless.

DeleteNice. It's natural, you're not forcing it...almost like u're just speaking and gisting your friends which is really cool! your next post should be...about Life in colors (not sure what I mean myself) but just use different colors to talk about life and your sojourn or other people's interesting stories you might know..should be fun!

ReplyDeleteMy yellow sisi, this is a bold step you have taken, one in the right direction. I am so happy and proud as it was only yesterday i birthed you into this sinful, yet beautiful world...*sniffs*, "she is all grown up"....lol
ReplyDeletePay no attention to me (lol), wonderful idea...thumbs up babes! What i love must is how you maintained an unruffled demeanor...do keep this up
Seeing as fashion and event conceptualized this beautiful and informative forum; i think your second official write up should be about how Lagos singles and married(esp them young single ladies) shop so viciously for wedding/end of year /Easter/Christmas (etc) events, popularly known as OWAMBE... and to spice it up a little, you can talk also, about owambe crashers whom people often see their faces in one too many events(in most cases, they never know the celebrant/host); we all hear of such stories...ha!ha!
More grease to your elbow..
Thanks my dear Nelly Furtado....lol..your suggestion is good one. will work on it and do us all a favour of a good read...
