NAY LOVE'S MILESTONE

Hello Musers, been away for a while and I apologise for the long silence. I am back and promise to make up for my absence. How have you all been??? While I was away, I was involved in a lot of exciting projects including the story behind today's post.
So I got a call a few months back from a former boss of mine, Temi D asking DUR to plan a birthday party for a director at her company. I felt honoured and let me fast track to the first weekend of this month. Temi  wanted a four day event parked with fun activities beginning with a suya crawl which was later cancelled because of the Ebola virus situation in the country, so Day 1 off. This would be followed with a quiet dinner on Day 2, with a garden party on the third day. Finally  lunch on the fourth day. So you can tell how excited I was to do what I love to do best... plan parties!!... I call it ‘’fun work’’
The party was in honor of Nnenna, affectionately known as Nay Love (hence the title of this post) who marked a major milestone birthday from September 5th to 7th. For now I will tell you only what happened on the third day. It was an awesome party held at a really elegant event centre in Victoria Island called The Social Place. It is located at 33 Sinari Daranijo street and owned and operated by Tolagbe Martins.  The place has a very cute garden with pretty flowers and greens where the main party was held. After grubs, we switched to the hall in the premises called The Gallery where it was time to put on your dancing shoes and show everyone your dancing skills. And dance we did!!!  Wouldn’t you rather  get maximum satisfaction when you book a venue for your event? The Social Place is one to count on. Go check it out...
It was a cityscape themed party to reflect the different international locales Nay Love has lived in. California, New York, London all came together to give guests the different feel of each location. The décor and settings were done very simply and yet still very catchy.
The hot food and finger foods were awesome. Drinks, cocktails and chewables were in abundance. The most important thing was that the client loved it because it was exactly what she wanted.... happy customer, happy bank. Haha!
Family and friends came out in their numbers to celebrate with their own and everyone was happy to see each other. It was a blast!
DJ Bisola kept the vibe going and everyone danced to the rhythm of the night. What interested me most was how simply dressed most of the guests were, even the celebrant looked fabulous in her white Nay Love customised top on denim. Unlike our parties in this part of the world where we must wear all the shiny blings ...lol, less is more my people... avoid over dressing, most of the time.
In a nut shell, it was a night of fun and everyone went home happy. Enjoy the visuals of the night after the cut.
